The Malt from the Highlands

The Glen is very quiet, only the gentle rustling of the wind in the ripe barley and the slash of water in the burn is to be heard.

The barely matures later in the year in Northern Scotland gaining extra flavour in the long summer days - days so long that it is possible to read a book 
outdoors at midnight. The flavour matters to Glen Torran Malt Whisky - 
as after malting over burning peat the barely provided the round rich nature 
of this fine Scotch Whisky.

The water in the Glen is very soft. There are no minerals in the hills which affect the flavour. Only age old peat which darkens its colour to a golden hue. There is often rain in the Glen and the river water is always fresh and pure.

Glen Torran Malt Whisky needs only these natural resources and then time. Time in the quiet stillness of maturation in oak barrels. Kept  cool in the summer months to allow the flavours to develop slowly and with character.

The enjoyable aroma is typical of good Highland Malt while the taste is warm and rounded with a flavour of rich barley.

The full age of this Highland Malt is enjoyed with a nose malty yet firm. The flavour has golden richness with a smooth finish and a pleasant lingering sweetness of well aged Malt Whisky.
